Each POD will have the same 12 students assigned to a learning aide in the classroom.
Each POD will be created with students' grade levels in mind. (If we have ten 2nd grade students and two 3rd grade students interested, a POD will be formed.)
Each student will need a laptop and headphones. The school will provide Chromebooks, and headphones will be available for purchase.
We will need to know ahead of time if students wish to purchase lunch from school
The learning aide assigned to each group will monitor students throughout their virtual learning day to ensure they are engaged. They will help with supervision and technical issues. The aide will not teach the 12 students assigned to his or her daycare pod.
If the assigned learning aide is unable to come to work that day, the school will have a substitute in their place for the period of time the aide is out.
Should there be a need to quarantine the pod, the students in that pod must quarantine at home for the number of days necessary until allowed to come back to campus
Students must wear their school uniform polo shirts
We have limited availability for PODS and will need to hire extra staff in order to offer this option, therefore parents wishing to have their children in a daycare learning POD will need to pay an additional $300/month.
