ANP

    •         Hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.
  •         Parents will drop off children by the small gate on Hatillo Avenue for a quick health and temperature check.
  •         The teachers will greet and walk the children to their classrooms.
  •         Drop-off times are staggered for each age group:

o   ANP-4 drop off  8:00-8:20 a.m.

o   ANP-3 drop off  8:20-8:40 a.m.

o   ANP-2 drop off  8:40-9:00 a.m.

  •         For families of more than one child, you may drop them off at the same time
  •         Departure procedures are similar to drop off at the same location
  •         Pick-up times are staggered for each age group:

o   ANP-4 pick-up 2:50-3:05 p.m.

o   ANP-3 pick-up 3:05-3:20 p.m.

o   ANP-2 pick-up 3:20-3:35 p.m.

  •         Children must be signed in/out every day at the gate.
  •         After-school daycare is not planned for the upcoming year at this time, due to certain COVID-19 restrictions.

 

All children and teachers will engage in hand washing at following times:

    •   Arrival and departure from school
    •   Eating, toileting, moving from outdoor playtime, sneezing and coughing
  •         Children will not be required to wear a face covering unless the parent wishes to do so.
  •         Masks are required for all adults on campus.
  •         Six feet social distancing will be implemented and supported as much as possible both indoors and outdoors, as well as during lunch and nap times.
  •         Daily frequent disinfecting of high-touch surfaces are in place such as; door knobs, tables, light switches, toys, toilet seats after each use, etc.
  •         Specific containers will be designated for soiled toys to be cleaned and disinfected daily.
  •         Teachers will continuously monitor the sanitation of the classroom materials.
  •         All classrooms and bathrooms will be cleaned and disinfected daily and frequently by the custodians.
  •         Classroom groups will not intermix outdoors, they will play in separate designated areas throughout the day.

  Individually packed breakfast and afternoon snack will be provided.

  •         Lunch prepared in the school cafeteria will also be served in individually packed containers.
  •         Food served will contain no nuts as the school is “Nut Safe Zone”.
  •         Parents may bring food for children with special dietary needs.
  •         All children should be up-to-date with their immunizations and have their pediatrician complete and sign the “Physician’s Report” by the beginning of the school year.

 According to the School’s health policy, any child with illness symptoms should stay home.

  •         Any adult or child who shows symptoms of COVID-19, or presents a fever of 100.4°F will be sent home and LADPH guidelines will be followed to meet criteria to return to school.
  •         Any child who develops any of the symptoms while at school, will be kept in the nurse’s office until picked up by the parent. 
  •         Teachers with mild cold symptoms will be asked to stay home.
  •         All individuals must remain at home in isolation and not return to school for a minimum of 10 days after onset of symptoms AND until the symptoms have improved AND they are free of fever for at least 3 days or 24 hours without fever-reducing medication.
  •         If someone in the household is sick with a fever and shortness of breath, the child/teacher will be excluded for 14 days.
  •         If a positive case of COVID-19 is detected at school, the administration will contact the Department of Public Health Acute Communicable Disease Program for guidance on steps to be taken to minimize the risk of transmission for other children and adults.
