Sargis Stepanyan, a soldier in Armenia’s elite Special Forces unit, was severely wounded during a rescue operation in the summer of 2014. While rescuing a wounded soldier in the “buffer zone” between Armenia and Azerbaijan, he was impacted by explosions which took both his legs and his right arm. He survived miraculously as his unit applied first aid and delivered him to a field hospital. This Armenian hero will be visiting our school tomorrow, Thursday, April 26 at 10:00 am to meet with our DHS students.
Anyone wishing to meet this brave soldier is welcome.
