2007-08 KAHAM Games

Held annually since 1982, the KAHAM games bring together students from all the Armenian schools based in Southern California to compete in a variety of athletic events held throughout the year.  The events include basketball, volleyball, soccer, and for this period, track & field and table tennis.  AGBU MDS has been a proud participant at the KAHAM games for several years and this year is no exception.

Titans Homecoming

The school homecoming games, which took place on Friday January 18th, were a rousing success for our Titans!  The night started with the Boys Basketball JV team against their counterparts from Pilibos.  Despite a great effort, the JV team lost their game.  Next came the Girls Varsity Basketball which had a tremendous game against Pilibos and came away with a victory.  The night ended with an exciting match between the respective Boys Varsity teams from both schools.  The Titans started fast out of the gate, taking an early lead in the 1st quarter, but ultimately ended the half all tied up.  Falling behind in the 3rd quarter merely set the stage for a ferocious comeback in the 4th to give the Titans a much deserved win.
Congratulations to all the participants.

Boys Varsity Soccer Bring Home the Championship

On a beautiful fall afternoon, the AGBU-MDS Boys Varsity Soccer Team was able to win the league championship in a dramatic fashion. In the final game, they defeated their old rivals, Alex Pilibos with an incredible score of 6-0!
Even though this was a total team effort, the star of the match was truly Viken Meshefejian who scored 5 goals. Derek Sarkesians added one of his own, while the fighting spirit and continuous energy came from Gaby Duchoncioglu.

Congratulation Coach Tigran for another fantastic season!
