AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School

Community Service

At A.G.B.U. Manoogian-Demirdjian School, we believe in a holistic education that teaches our students the importance of helping others. We require each student to complete a minimum of 20 hours per year during their high school career as a Titan. Many of our students enjoy their community service experiences so much that they volunteer many more hours than the minimum required. There are many opportunities at school,  throughout the San Fernando Valley, and the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area for students to earn hours as well as give back to the community.

Community service is a not-for-pay activity that is performed by someone or a group of people for the benefit of the public, community, or its non-profit institutions. Community service cannot be performed at for-profit businesses and institutions. Some examples of acceptable community service placements include local religious centers, food banks, libraries, nursing homes, boys and girls clubs, refugee resettlement centers, and homeless shelters.
